Privacy Policy
Last updated : 5 November 2026
This policy explains, in plain language, what data you share with us when you use the Vexdrone website, what we do with it, and what your rights are. We wrote it so that anyone can understand it, without unnecessary legal jargon.
1. Who we are
Vexdrone is a service for inspecting electrical infrastructure using drones and artificial intelligence, led by the THRIVE team. This website presents our CORE and AIR offers, our technology and our team.
When we say "we" in this text, we mean the Vexdrone team. You can contact us at any time at contact@vexdrone.net.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the data you send us through this website: the contact form and the newsletter signup. It does not apply to external websites we may link to, such as our partners' sites, which have their own rules.
3. The data we collect
Through the contact form, you may send us: your first name, your last name, your organisation's name, your email address, your phone number (with the country code) and your message.
Through the newsletter signup, you send us: your name and your email address.
We do not collect any sensitive data within the meaning of Burkinabe law, that is, no data about your health, your origins, your political, philosophical or religious opinions, or any biometric data.
4. Why we collect this data
We use your data only to respond to your request. Concretely: to read your message, to contact you back with an answer, and, if you signed up for the newsletter, to send you our news.
We never use your data for anything other than what you agreed to. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. The legal basis: your consent
Burkinabe law No. 001-2021 of 30 March 2021 on the protection of persons with regard to the processing of personal data provides that, unless the law states otherwise, any processing of personal data must be based on the express consent of the person concerned (Article 14).
In practice: you freely send us your data by filling in the form or signing up for the newsletter. You may withdraw this consent at any time (Article 20 of the same law), without having to justify yourself.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which you gave it to us. Contact-form messages are kept for the time needed to handle your request and close our exchanges.
For the newsletter, your email address is kept until you unsubscribe. You can do so at any time by writing to contact@vexdrone.net.
7. Who can access your data
Only the members of the Vexdrone team in charge of handling requests have access to your messages. Beyond that, your data may pass through the technical providers that run the website: our hosting provider (Vercel) and our email provider (Hostinger), for sending notification emails.
These providers process your data only to perform the services we entrust to them, and are not allowed to use it for any other purpose.
8. Transfer of your data outside Burkina Faso
Our services rely on infrastructure located outside Burkina Faso. Vercel, which hosts this website, has servers in several regions of the world, and our email is managed by Hostinger.
Burkinabe law (Article 42 of Law No. 001-2021) allows such a transfer abroad when the recipient country ensures an adequate level of protection, comparable to that guaranteed in Burkina Faso. Our providers implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.
We only transfer your data to providers offering serious security and confidentiality guarantees, and only to the extent necessary for the service to work.
9. The security of your data
The law requires us to take all necessary measures to protect your data against loss, theft, alteration or access by unauthorised persons (Articles 10 and 24 of Law No. 001-2021).
Our exchanges with our providers are encrypted, and access to your data is limited to the people who need it to handle your request.
We also note that transmitting information over the internet is never entirely risk-free. If you believe one of your data was sent by mistake to a third party, the law provides that we must inform that third party so they can correct or delete it (Article 21). Write to us and we will act.
10. Your rights
Burkinabe law grants you several rights over your data: the right to be informed, the right to access your data, the right to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, the right to object to its processing and the right to ask for its deletion.
To exercise any of these rights, simply write to contact@vexdrone.net stating your request. We will respond as soon as possible.
12. Contacting us and lodging a complaint
For any question about this policy or the use of your data, write to contact@vexdrone.net.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the supervisory authority in Burkina Faso: the Commission de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CIL), whose website is accessible at cil.bf.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. We invite you to review it regularly.
